As well as having very little impact these issues are only seen on Firefox on Chromebooks and Android tablets, a very select and small platform. I have attached an image of this as well:įrom the gif and screenshots it can be seen that these issues are not very big and have little to no impact on the performance of the sim, meaning fixes should take on a low priority. When the user completes a game level and the smiley/frowning face pops up, the face is slightly covered by the phet menu bar. The final issue occurs on any sim that has a game screen (multiplication and algebra). This is the only sim/screen with an area calculation where this occurs. I have attached a picture of this occurring.

When the calculation box has been expanded to allow the user to see the calculation of the area the last number (the final calculated area) is slightly covered by the box outline. The second issue occurs in the area model introduction sim on the partition screen. This issue is not seen on the Android tablet because there is no scrolling on the tablet. Here is a gif of the issue, the first half is me scrolling over a partition line in Firefox, and the second half is me performing the same action on Chrome with the intended behavior.

The first issue is that on all sims in the suite the cursor does not change from the normal pointer to a hand when the user scrolls over a clickable item. Feynman (Acer Chromebook) and Nye (Android tablet)įor phetsims/qa#157 there are a variety of small design/bug issues that occur only on the Firefox browser on Chromebook and Android tablets.
